EL AGUA

Jamás me he identificado como un conservacionista en potencia, ni mucho menos. Sin embargo, aunque intento comportarme como un ciudadano racional y consciente con respecto a los temas de la naturaleza, me molesta enormemente el despilfarro injustificado del tan preciado líquido. Esto no quiere decir que no voy a las piscinas, o que no juego con pistolas de agua, o que no me doy de vez en cuando una larga ducha. Me refiero a el agua que se pierde al no ser aprovechada de ninguna manera. De ninguna. Aquellas miles de gotas que se convierten en cientos de litros de desperdicios; provenientes de grifos mal cerrados, inodoros en mal estado, hasta cosas de mayor envergadura, la lista es larga.

Un día, para estrenar mi videocámara, me dispuse a grabar algo que no sé si mucha gente verá, pero puedo asegurar que quien lo vea aunque sea pensará en tener un poco de consciencia, aunque luego no la tenga, es el primer paso.

En dos idiomas. De algo tiene que servir.

I have never identified myself as a conservationist not even close. However, I try to be a good and rational citizen that respect and care about the nature. Nevertheless, it bothers me a lot of the misuse and waste of our precious liquid. This it does not means that I’m against of swimming pools, off course I use them, play with the water guns and also take long showers some times. I’m talking about the water that is wasted and we don’t get any use of it. I am talking about the drops and the running water that is left when we don’t close correctly the faucets, don’t fix the broken toilets, sinks and more. This drops eventually become hundreds of gallons of water that we never use.

One day I decided to use my brand new video camera and record something; I don’t know if everybody will see it but, I’m sure that whoever see it will think about the waste of the water.
